As you may or may not already know, this Mixere is a free open-source program to mix songs and audio files.
With Mixere you can load all the tracks you want (it accepts MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC formats and more), and play them simultaneously. Thanks to the Mixere interface, that simulates a DJ mixing desk, you can access and apply a large number of options while the tracks are playing (volume, speed, diverse effects between tracks or each one individually, etc). Also, Mixere lets you not only work on tracks in real time, but also program options or actions to be done while the songs are playing.
This Mixere program is optimized for live performance, and especially for creating live sound collage. It is also very easy to download, install and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface, which is very similar to a spreadsheet where the rows are tracks, and the columns are properties which can be adjusted for each track: name, transport (play/pause/stop/loop), mute/solo, volume, pan, pitch (+/- one octave), and audio position. You don't need any technical experience at all to get the most out of it.
